what i read in november
I didn’t realize how much I read this month until I posted this - wowee!
Wuthering Heights - LOVED IT! The story was absorbing so I read past the Meetup group assignment. I’ll keep going I guess but it’ll be hard to avoid spoilers.
Martyr! - I ordered it when the paperback came out so it’s been on the shelf for a while. It’s really clever, well-written. The main character kind of reminds me of The Autograph Man.
The Martian Chronicles - I don’t think I’ve read it before so when I saw it on a sale table at Barnes & Noble I snapped it up. It was very interesting. I wonder where Bradbury parks his time machine.
Steppenwolf - After finishing Wuthering Heights I was wanting to read another classic. I enjoyed this a lot but sure wasn’t expecting the ending to be so tripendicular!
Anna Karenina - FINALLY! Just started reading this for a book group at work. It reads a lot more modern than I was expecting. I was expecting a more Victorian tone.
Black Leopard, Red Wolf - Just started reading this for NapFam Book Club. It’s a little tough to get into because of some unconventional world building.
