when stunting goes horribly wrong

When I first saw the headline "Actress Who Starred in Django Unchained Detained by LAPD", I thought WTF happened to Kerry Washington???, because SHE is the actress who STARRED in that film. As soon as I discovered it was some girl who played a slave with like two lines of dialogue, I suspected some fuckery was afoot.

Then this actress - Danielle Watts - went on CNN and my suspicions were confirmed. Throughout the interview, she was just a little too indignant and entitled, while her boyfriend was conspicuously silent. Sure enough -- or as her minor, slave character would have said," 'sho nuff" -- TMZ got the photos and the fuckery was exposed -- literally. In the blink of an eye, the civil rights leaders and feminists who had rushed to her defense, redirected their fervor to Ferguson and other legitimate instances of police discrimination.

I avoided blogging about this whole thing because I was so finished I couldn't put an intelligent sentence together. Enter the always on point Kid Fury who (along with his partner in reading crime, Crissle) roasted Ms. Watts at the end of the Sept 18th episode of The Read. Grab a Dr. Pepper and some cheese popcorn, and enjoy. Oh and Danielle, girl... BYE.
